Appropriate RCA cable to go from pre-out to amp?

I am planning to hook up a separate amp for the first time and would like to make sure that I have the right cables.

what is the appropriate designation to look for when selecting RCA cables to go from the pre-outs on my receiver to my amp? I assume that any RCA not specifically build for a digital signal would work; is this correct?

Any RCA interconnect, including those specifically built for digital signal, will work.

Yes! Digital interconnects are sold as single cables, not as pairs but two coax digital cables with RCA connectors would probably work.

I'm in the same boat--about to replace my integrated amp's jumpers with an IC. I was just reading a thread on another forum in which several people opined that the pre-to-amp connection is the most important and most sensitive. Which is it? and why?
