Cream at Madison Square Garden

Did anybody happen to see this show? I see the Royal Albert Hall shows will be released on a DVD by Rhino Records.\ This is the Amazon link; a CD will also be available.

Will be interesting to see what kind of role Clapton assumes since he was, basically, a guitar player (and always has been in my book; ie, lousy song writer and mediocre vocalist). A great guitar player but a guitar player nonetheless.

Au contraire. The message from ticketmaster specifically says: The extreme measures are at the band's behest because of the great demand for the tickets to try and eliminate scalping. Funny they don't seem to have much of a conscience about charging 370 bucks a ticket.
Clapton, unlike Bruce, had a lot less range to lose. Parts tend to wear over 37 years.

Judy426 shouldn't Claptons voice sound like crap to 37 years later. Do you agree Bruce sounds bad?
Blblues68 unfortunately all bodies do not wear at the same rate. Some people have great knees when they are 50; I am not so lucky. At Cream's peak Bruce was unquestionably the better vocalist. However, today as my knees have deteriorated more than yours, Clapton clearly sounds better.
I'm all for anything to stop scalpers, they don't even go to the show, they take away the show from people, real fans who can only afford one or two concerts a year. A 370 dollar ticket being scalped could go for a 1000. If they come to L.A. I'll go,this is one group I missed in my youth and let's face it the other one Hendrix won't be coming around anytime soon.
