I saw Pearl Jam last night...

I saw Pearl Jam last night on the Waterfront in Camden NJ last night. Excellent show. 2.5 hrs of blasting rock. Eddie Vedder's Cause now is to get wrongfully imprisoned prisoners freed. It bought the show to a grinding halt when he marched and paraded 3 ex cons around the stage. The band is one of the best out there. They blow away U2 and these other big name acts.

Reminds me of when I saw the Clash at Bonds in NYC touring Sandanista ~1980. When Strummer started talking politics over a backbeat, the crowd pulled ice cubes from their drinks and pelted him. He walked offstage; show over. End of story.
The good news was they had played about 90 minutes before the incident. Cheers,

pearl jam is a great band, but bands and performers who shove their politics down the audiences throat are a big turn off for me, just because someone can play a guitar or carry a tune does not influence me to agree with their political views.
