cool, thanks for sharing. I can see we have comparable tastes as some of your list are among my fav's.

One I just picked up is Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin "Road Time" I like this band a lot and this double live LP is great (though my copy is in rough condition and will need to be replaced).

Also

Roger Waters "Radio Kaos"

Larry Coryell - "the Essential Larry Coryell"

Kenny Wheeler - "Gnu High" with Jack DeJohnnette, Dave Holland, Keith Jarret
My Friday night went like this:

Bill Evans Trio-Disc 3 from the "Complete Village Vangard Set"

Arcade Fire-"Neon Bible"

Pearl Jam-"Jeremy" EP (for Yellow Ledbetter)

Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark-"Together at the Bluebird Cafe"

After hearing Townes do Poncho and Lefty, I listed to two other versions of Poncho and Lefty from my CD collection

Poozies-"Raise Your Head" (Track 11 Poncho and Lefty)

Willie Nelson-"Revolutions In Time", Disc 2 (Poncho and Lefty)

Steely Dan-"Aja"

I listen to Friday Blues on KCCK.org. Saturday nite is just
as good. Starts @ 6:00P Central time. Steve
Started at the RI Philharmonic open rehersal of Brahms Concerto in D and Sibelius Symphony #5, followed by RI Songwriters in the Round 4th Anniversary Showcase with about a dozen different songwriters performing originals, then ended hearing a great local cover band.
