Black-Eyed-Peas, the future of modern music?

Last night's performance was simply awful.

The Black Eyed Peas suck but they sure can shuck, jive, prance, and dance. Monkey "music".

And somebody should get Christine Aguilera a teleprompter; yeah it's really tough remembering the lines to a single song you've been singing all your life. LOL

Great job at the Super Bowl. Pure entertainment.

Dread and mapman, from all of the reviews I'd say you guys are in the minority opinion.

Personally, I can't stand the entire super bowl circus. Just play the damn game.

It was hard enough with all the trauma to my eyes between the trannylicious combo of Aguilera and Fergie. Then Fergie and Slash murdered my childhood.

At least the game was decent.

Philosophically, I am in this camp as well. But it is what it is so I just go with it.

I'm not going to say the BEPs performance set any new musical standards.

But I actually like the songs they did and the performance with the spectacle and all was fun and somewhat fresh, so I actually enjoyed it more than any other recent SB halftime show I've seen, including some of my aging classic rock heroes like McCartney, The Stones, and The Who.

I will not compare BEP to them any more than I would compare them to Ellington, Armstrong, or even Beethoven.

They are all totally different beasts from totally different ages.

THE BEP are the least of my concerns as I get older.
