The Antlers "Burst Apart" This is not "Hospice" nor will anything ever be like it but it does have the layers of swirling, rich and difficult intensity. With lyrics like "...Prove to me/that I'm not gonna die alone...." this is not a simple record, yet I felt connected to it from the first play and find myself wanting to start it over each time the closing song fades. This is going to be on my years best list for sure.
