The Truth About Power Cords and there "Real" Price to Performance
Your experience with amplifier instability using high capacitance speaker cables is a perfect example. Also in the analog world, amp does not go from "working perfectly" to "instability" just like that like 1's and 0's.  There is a transitional...
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
It doesn't cost them that much at all. Let's say it takes 300hr to fully break-in a cables.  I highly doubt 300hr is something free.  Unless you have someone and a bunch of equipment working for you for free.  A little bit of research and time...
$27,500 for whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat???
$27 G's isn't subjective, it's a fact. I wouldn't know.  I never had it before :-)

So it looks like the Dunlavy Audio Labs Signature SC-VI was designed by God after all.  Only HE can give us the cake and we can eat it too.  Perfect time/frequency response!

How much do you think Wilson would charge for a wash and wax and detailed?  For that money, I'd like mine cleaned and waxed :-)
Could this be one reason tubes (and perhaps records) sound better?
Personally I would not recommend intentionally generate white noise in your listening environment.  There is a difference between what happens in the laboratory environment and your own.  Just because they said so, does not mean it's true.

Kidding aside, if speaker wire "burn in" is really required, wouldn't it make sense for the manufacturers to "pre-burn" the wire before shipping? It would cost them quite a bit of money so I doubt they would do it.
BEST HARMLESS/SIGNATURELESS SPEAKERS CAPACITORS.
rauliruegas,Very nice system. In my personal experience, the higher the frequencies, the more the cap will affect the sound. At low frequencies, hm.... it would be hard for me to tell.Based on your posts, it seems like you have tried out quite a f...

Hi Richard,Thank you for your posts and your unique perspective. For now, I would like to take a rain check as for a proper response from me since it may require a bit more thinking from me.The only thing I want to say now is that, after listening...

For those who think Wilson speakers are "ugly", two words "Darth Vader". Ugly as hell but the mask has been sold like mad. I am sure they made a lot of money. It's funny how people all worked up over "subjectivity".
time-aligned speakers: stepped fronts vs. sloping fronts
if not, you'll be hearing the tweeters doubly off-axis Although I know what you meant, I don't think the word "doubly off-axis" is a proper characterization.  It's either exactly on-axis or off-axis at certain degree angle in a 3-dimensional sp...

Nobody here complaining paying $200K for sex :-)
Could this be one reason tubes (and perhaps records) sound better?
I think we've reached another low when we have to rely on mice for our audio gears :-)Also we have to outlaw "copy and paste" :-)

Could we banish all that stuff to a vanity brand forum? We can call that forum "Commies".
Could this be one reason tubes (and perhaps records) sound better?
Hiss and pops and clicks and other forms of tube and record noise are not white noise It can get complicated. To make a general statement can lead to over-simplification.  Are those "hiss", "pops", and "clicks" occurring randomly?  That's somethi...
