Is 11' distance from projector screen too close? Wow short throw usually means less then that often times. I bought a Sony VPL100 with less than 200 hours on original bulb for $750 and I couldnt pass it up for 1080p.Between Sony Panasonic, Epson and Mitsubishi I see no reaosn to look at the Runc...
Is 11' distance from projector screen too close? Most LCD models will likely fire within that range, be careful to get a unit that vents towards front as your likely to be real close to rear wall so get one that either vents from side or from the lense face. Check any model for its throw range a...
Flat Screen Recommendations: 50 to 60 inch Power schmower lol, OP said he doesnt use it many hours weekly anyway. I say hug a tree and fire up that Plasma!
Flat Screen Recommendations: 50 to 60 inch Any flat screen that has a glossed front be it glass or other will have some sort of reflection but I think its always been overblown, yes you may see a felection of some things some times but its not as dramatic as most would argue. Some act like...
Flat Screen Recommendations: 50 to 60 inch Backlit LCD is still trumped by Plasma, its getting closer all the time but we are talking about today and not a year or so from now. But buy what makes you happy cause even if its not quite as good its not like your ever gonna do direct compariso...
Phonomena, vs PS GCPH, Others? I run a Dynavector 20L with the Phonomena and feel no need to upgrade, it loads everything and sound great for the price.
Flat Screen Recommendations: 50 to 60 inch I would still to this day suggest Plasma is the way to go but you dont watch a whole lot so LCD may be good enough for you. We watch a 58in Panasonic plasma and it looks amazing. Also have a 42in LG LCD that is so so, it looks good and has pretty ...
My Oppo hums Atleat you got TW to step up and do the right thing, I have TW aswell but it wasnt a hassle when I needed this done last year. Good luck!
Revel Salon vs Vandersteen 5A Thats hogwash, all 5A are SS bass powered and often they are powered by tubes for the mids and tweets with superb results. In fact most times I have heard them were with tubes and I have never heard a bad sounding setup. Were do Silverbacks fit in...
My Oppo hums All the same it should be fixed regardless because now we know its not correct is all.
My Oppo hums Dont get the ground isolator until you have your cable/sat guy come out and fix earth ground, its their problem to fix. My cable co fixed mine for free last year. Why spend your money if you can get it fixed for free?
Who is planning to buy the oppo-95 and...? My Oppo BluRay offered a good picture but nothing remarkable about the sound. It sounds good but its not anything outstanding or game changing at all. My player was a good value but it didnt cost near $1000 either, at that price there will be some...
Revel Salon vs Vandersteen 5A Why not just enjoy a speaker that sounds AND measures good? You can have it all with the 5A.
Revel Salon vs Vandersteen 5A No it means it has no warmth, accurate is good for some but cold and sterile to many others. You can also have accurate with warmth its all in how somebody voices a speakers I suppose. I think the Revels sounded forward or harsh in midrange so may...
Revel Salon vs Vandersteen 5A I couldnt agree more with String. The Revel is smooth for sure but IMO a touch more forward compared to Vandy. But I do love the Revels looks over the 5A. But its not really about looks so I have to firmly fall in the 5A camp. |
