No More Fake Reviews - So Who’s Gonna Tell Us What To Buy?
rooze ... the ruling also includes provisions that protect reviewers from retaliation by manufacturers, per Erin, Tekton, the Goldensound guy ... The ruling applies to "consumer reviews," so presumably "professional" reviewers such as the YouT...
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!!
incorrigable Streaming is the nexus between wealth and luck in America. You need the luck of access to hard wired fiber optic service ... If we’re talking about streaming audio, that’s simply mistaken. Hi-res audio such as Qobuz needs no b...
No More Fake Reviews - So Who’s Gonna Tell Us What To Buy?
It looks that many of you are expecting too much from this FTC ruling. For the most part, it applies to "consumer reviews." Those are reviews written by consumers, not by ostensibly "professional’ reviewers that would be writing for a real publica...
Connectivity Issue with McIntosh C2800 and MX121 – No Sound in Front Channels
vinylnostalgic ... Any further suggestions on how to resolve this issue ... Ask your local dealer. Most Mac dealers are very helpful.
Bryston Service A-1
the Aurender must have been really bad… I know many praise Aurender, but my experience was not good. They had one support guy ("Ari") whose "solutions" to problems showed he hadn't bothered to read the remedies I'd already tried. Audio shoul...
Bryston Service A-1
I dumped my Aurender in favor of the BDP3, which has been much more stable and reliable.
Step Up Transformers….Are they Worth the Trouble?
rauliruegas ... AR, VAC and MAC use SUTs ( passive not active designs. ) ... You're mistaken. There's no SUT in my ARC Ref Phono 2SE. It uses an FET on the MC input. I'm pretty sure this is common on ARC phono preamps.
Need Opinions for Different Cable Manufacturers/Cable Designs
kinarow1 ... I'm looking to vastly improve my system with a complete cable upgrade ... I think cables can make a difference - even a big difference. But I would not expect a cable upgrade to "vastly improve my system."
The Audiophile Song - Who Can Relate?
That's pretty funny.
SME 3009 II (improved) won't balance with Shure V15 III
dcindc Does anyone here know a lot about these SME arms? Even though the guy at SME tells me this is not the original weight, I'm not seeing any mention anywhere online of this arm coming with a lighter weight. The explanation you received fr...
Is there a way to stream You-Tube music into a digital amp?
freediver For all the whining your going to get about the poor quality of uTubes lossy format, there is just too much awesome music there you can’t find on the mainstream services to pass them up ... I’m not sure it’s "whining" to point out tha...
Fair Blind Test??
glennewdick If you guys can not hear a difference between tracks on YouTube I’m thinking its you and your bias, as I can readily hear a difference. The problem with YT videos isn’t not being able to hear a difference - I don’t think anyone but...
Fair Blind Test??
YouTube uses lossy audio, so this is a pretty useless test. Some of the data is being discarded before you can hear it.
Thanks to the Moderators
I think the mods here do an excellent job. I’ve never had an issue with them. Most of those who complain about them aren't really here to talk about audio or music, but have another agenda.
Help - is Krell dead?
musicmatters1206 ... 50 vs 60hz won’t make a real difference to listening experience in a CDP ... It will make a huge difference if the CDP has a synchronous motor.
