Amir and Blind Testing
It would seem that robertdid, atdavid, audio2design, sugabooger, among many other user names, has reinvented himself once again. Same argumentative, condescending approach. It is just amazing that he is that compelled to come back here again and a...
Audiongon Bluebook accuracy
Hifi shark is a good choice for a reasonably clear picture of what items are listed for.  What I found with the Audiogon bluebook when I subscribed several years ago is that average price is not weighted based on age. IOW, if an item were 2 gener...
No love for Legacy Audio
I recently traded a fully active pair of Calibres for a custom pair of Signature SE. They have the new upgraded midrange driver that is seen in the picture of the XD version. Mine don't have the internal amp, but are tri-wire, tri-amp capable with...
Audiogon Question
Don't do it. If it feels iffy, then it is. This has scam written all over it.
CDs And Green Markers. Please Don’t Laugh.
It is amazing that people here are arguing about something that costs less than 5 dollars and a little bit of time. I haven't done it myself, but why is it bothering anyone if someone else chooses to do it? If the price is too steep, maybe you're ...
Bookshelf Speaker For Outdoors
https://www.intelligentaudioproducts.com/index.php/our-products/planterspeakers   I heard their Flagstone model at Axpona a few years ago in a large open atrium. They have a nicely balanced sound and were designed to be outdoors.
It comes with a balance knob?!?! I'll take it!
I had an ARC Reference 1 and Reference 3, both of which had balance controls. Despite symmetrical set up, the sound in my room pulls slightly to the left. The balance control worked exactly as it should and was very useful.
CLASS D MONO AMPS buy ATMASPHERE MUSIC SYSTEMS
Congratulations are definitely in order. I hope to get an opportunity to listen to them in the near future. I expect that they will sound excellent.
What are some of your favorite "COLD" songs?

Transmission line speakers!
Many of the speakers that Dale Pitcher designed utilized transmission lines. He was responsible for the Essence, Intuitive Design, and Mosaic Acoustics line ups.
Has anyone tried a Zobel network on GMA Eos HD speakers?
@cporada After my above reply, I realized that I have a copy of the EOS HD manual that I printed while I was waiting on my EOS Rx (the name chosen for the RAAL version) to be built. I flipped through the information, and it states that in fact the...
Has anyone tried a Zobel network on GMA Eos HD speakers?
I had a number of conversations with Roy Johnson in the last year or so that he was alive. He was designing a version of the EOS with a RAAL ribbon that never came to be. If I remember correctly, he designed his crossovers with a zobel network bui...
Need new headphone setup.
I have started a headphone rig and am curious about applying eq to them. So far I have a Topping A30 pro amp and a pair of Sennheiser HD 58x Jubilee. They are currently connected to the analog out of an Esoteric DV-50s. The 58x could use a bit mor...
Efficient speaker: Zu, Tekton, Volti, Klipsch, Fleetwood?
When I heard the Volti Rival and Razz at consecutive Axpona shows, they were set up on the long wall and not very far out from the wall. Almost certainly less than 2 feet and in both cases they sounded good to me.
High Fidelity Sound Speaker
He actually broke the flange on one of the tweeters with this "method" of mounting. He talks about doing things on the cheap, but he has blown way more money in the last year doing his experiments than if he would have gone and found something act...
