Pure class A amplifiers = "slow" amplifiers? A system sounds like something, an individual component does not! That being said, a system which includes an amplifier should mimic a live concert (amplified or not). In other words, when listening to your favorite music you should have the sense...
Verity The Verity website offers no valuable information, nor does it inspire confidence. Is Verity owned by some foreign conglomerate or are they just deliberately vague?
CD player for Mcintosh/Krell int amp Musical as a term conveys the impression that a system imparts the sonic hallmarks of a given recording relative to what it would sound like live. Live sound is dynamic, expressive and full of color...cast is not! Go to live concert, try cast on s...
Directional interconnect cables Buy favorite cable, install per manufacturer, sit back and enjoy..unless your an obsessive psychopath:)
Will a new DAC make an improvement in sound? I find it a bit silly that someone who purchased Avalon's and BAT electronice would dabble with entry level outboard DAC's. Audition some great players and then buy one!
Review: Mapleshade Heavyfeat/Heavyhats Tweak Update, heavyhats on the CD player seem to squash a little too much of the dynamics. Also, taking off the top casework of the 400xi and using 1/2 lb weights on the transformer (2) improved soundstage, definition, treble clarity and liquidity...mid...
Pure class A amplifiers = "slow" amplifiers? G, you are an organic based lifeform right? Not cybernetic! Maybe your from KAPAX...anyway, I'll check out the sight.Cheers,Dave
Verity Hatari, just use a pre-out line if you have one. I also use (2) definitive 200tl subs wt mapleshade heavyfeat...used sparingly for the lowest octaves they work extremely well for the cash outlay.
Pure class A amplifiers = "slow" amplifiers? After reading G's jibberish I am confident that someday there will be time travel:)
Will a new DAC make an improvement in sound? Your system demands a great front end...garbage in garbage out! If you like BAT and enjoy an analog type sound, go for the DK5...used 6922 version was the most musical:)
Help with BenchMark vs. Museatex Bitstream Lush, I was referencing the possibility that you may not have a setting correct such as the gain/jumpers already mentioned. PC's can make a bit of a difference as well. Outboard DAC's can be problematic to match correctly and cable well...single b...
Pure class A amplifiers = "slow" amplifiers? Other than making sure your power is enough to command the A1's, maybe the accuphase pre is adding some fudge...nice sounding but not speed racer! Try a used Krell stereo amp with a KCT...should be warm and fast.
Directional interconnect cables True, no absolutes!
Directional interconnect cables MIT and Transparent cables have direction due to the networks involved, which need to be close to the termination of the signal. Ordinary cables have no inherent direction but should be used in the same manner once installed.
Help with BenchMark vs. Museatex Bitstream Balanced connections are 6db higher gain..including the Krell 400xi. It also sounds better on the krell. The DAC must have a problem or you are using it incorrectly. |
