Gryphon Diablo for Amati Anniversarios
Gryphon Diablo is one of the worlds best integrateds. It will have no problem driving the Amatis and will not bottleneck them either.

Choice for wilson Watt/puppy 5.1 internal wiring
M_snow - you should have said: older Wilson models were bright. And yes, 5.1 is one of them. Which doesn't mean, they cannot be made to sound good. Very careful system matching is necessery though.
Optimal length for digital cables: 1m or 1.5m?
There in NO one ideal cable lenght. The 'ideal' lenght will depend on the following parameters:- cable design (with the speed at which the signal travels through the cable beeing the determining factor)- sampling ratÄ™ of the signal beeing sent (th...
120V/60Hz to 230V/50 Hz AC
Contact manufacturers first, and ask if those units can be rewired for 230v operation. Most can.
David Wilson must be a little annoyed...
Don't trust opinion on forums.... every time I bought something based on online opinion and without listening in advance, it ended up being a big disappointment.Quote of the year :)
David Wilson must be a little annoyed...
Of course, the guy listing his Q7s on audiogon at the moment begs to differ and found himself something he likes better.Maybe he didn't have the nuclear reactor needed to drive them ?

Older is better - D/A chip?
I have once read Charlie Hansen's post on one of the forums, where he stated that DAC chip itself is only responsible for 10% of the final sound. Power supplies, digital filter, jitter management, I/V conversion and output stage are by far more im...
Fremer lays an Ostrich egg...
We get accused of writing "only positive reviews" and then when one is mildly negative the shite hits the fan. Make up your minds! That is a VERY good point !
the best, cost-no-object, music streamer?
Sosnos is great fun, but doesn't support hi-res files. The original question was:Am no techie, but seems ability to play 24/192, FLAC, apple app compatibility is a must.
WADIA 860 laser problem
Wadia 860 uses a Sony KSS-151a laser pickup. It has been discontinued for years. Now almost impossible to find.
Experience with Monarchy Audio DIP
Depends on how jittery the source is (Vlink has low jitter) and how sensitive to jitter your DAC is. Almost all older DACs can benefit from DIP or Genesis Digital Lens.
