Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
Wow, I did not have your experience.  I installed six and after one day, the system sounded great.  It sounded better as soon as I put the first six in.  Installing the last three of 12, one per day, gave me diminished sound for less than a day.  ...

I had to reread the forum question.  I do not personally know the character of any of my favorite female singers that I could make an assertion that any one of them could be my lifetime mate.  I chose Claudia Muzio for her public attributes.  I li...
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
pcrhkr  If you think I am out of my mind for believing cables require burn in (some more, some less), look at yourself first!  Big expert you are. I've had 20+ years experience as a beta tester for a cable manufacturer (high end cables).  Maybe Be...

The E-Mats made a solid sound improvement after 24 hours.  The effect improved in my system up to 3 weeks.  Some of the E-Mats sounded great after initial placement (first six).  Placing the last six took more time to improve the sound, like 24 ho...

Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
I have found that directionality in wires can commence with insertion into a circuit whereby the directionality is set by usage.  My cabling has directionality markers which are employed to install them in one direction for all future uses.  Wheth...
Switched from RCA to XLR Interconnects - WOW
I own his 890 amp, 864 pre-amp, 324 phono and Acute CD player.  Only the Acute remains in the main system.  I heard balanced and single ended using the same cable other than the extra wire.  I heard no difference.  The transformer that creates the...

Thank you. Bidu Sayao was second only to Elsie Houston (from Brasil) who had a much bigger voice but died (suicide) just before Sayao became a big hit. She was unappreciated in Brasil and had a big following in the U.S. I have to make you a CD of...

My cable/equipment manufacturer friend does not use any SR products but thoroughly believes in the Blue Fuse. I would guess that the fuse is about equal to a mat on the breaker box. A blue fuse is very important in amplifiers compared to an ordina...
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
From experience, cables require different amount of burn-in time.  Some of their materials require different times.  I've found that copper wiring takes much less time than silver wiring to burn-in.  Even my phono-cables took a lot time back in 19...
What improvements did you hear in going from entry level to high end Audio?
teo_audio makes it sound as if all old audio gear is S...T.  It isn't despite using magnetic attracted, cheap parts, wiring, casework, etc.  Some great sounding old equipment may not be the highest high end, but damn, they can be ultra musical.  W...
Switched from RCA to XLR Interconnects - WOW
EAR's designer Paravicini states that his equipment has balanced inputs and outputs but that is for convenience and not sound purposes.  His equipment is not designed as balanced throughout.
Switched from RCA to XLR Interconnects - WOW
I read it and agree concerning Digital and Headphone cabling.  I also agree with the engineering concepts of using balanced cabling;however, I have found that an overwhelming majority of balanced connections in high end audio are not balanced all ...

Claudia Muzio, whom Maria Callas tried to emulate (but didn't have the vocal ability).  She combined superb musicianship, extraordinary characterizations with gorgeous soprano sound.
Stillpoints - snake oil?
I have a mix of Stillpoints with more ultra minis than Ultra SS because they sounded better in those locations.  I haven't tried the 5s or 6s under my speakers as I have 185 lbs 5'6" speakers that could easily tip over in a quake (I'm in Los Angel...
