Au revoir, MHDT Orchid, you're a great DAC but...
I use a Solid state INT and a Tube DAC that is R2R and has a chip. I like that tube influence but doubling it is more than I want to deal with. Keep us posted on the new dac.
Audiophile sound quality from a more "mainstream" company?
For Speakers I would look into Sony For electronis- yamaha and technics these better products do not come cheap.   Domestic- Van Alstine for amps, etc Speakers- i won't use the "T" word.  Too new anyway. Klipsch heritage or??
Solving the "complex music problem"?
I wondered about this issue as well. No actual name that I have read. If you consider that in symphonic music live you hear each instrument  however in a two channel stereo you hear only on instrument ,the driver, it seem obvious that the two ca...

Has anyone noticed a slow down in sales?
Anyone buying right now needs to be immune to value loss.

Supposed to remove the RF buildup in a long Ethernet run. Even as little a a foot of it.
World's Best Stereo System ?...
Room correction benefits are very real. And they don't all cost $50k.
Speakers with deep/powerful bass
As my longtime HiFi mentor recently reminded me "Bass Counts". Why? It enhances the sound stage. Use as many subs as you can. Paradigm is the brand I am considering next.
Problem with my Rose 150 b
Is this Rose not ready to play nice with Roon??
Audiphile Press: Am I jaded, experienced, or has it declined?
After 5 years back into the hobby I decided not to renew my subscriptions when the expired. TAS and Stereophile are much too parochial. They are also forced to extoll the advertised brands and are really the last place to find out what is new i...
Over or under? - Standmount isolation
I just proposed a similar question to a group of audiophiles who possess  a lot of experience and knowledge. The position I bought into is that the damped puck style ala Gaia, Isotek etc are the only way to address all frequencies.
need amp recommendations for more separation of instruments
Get 4 subs powered by one separate amp.  Buy Berning monoblocks  for the Mid and tweeters Spend a day with the guy in Georgia. $500 fee for a day. The issue you are having is a shortcoming of all audio gear. Symphony music can not sound as goo...
You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
If you have $1,000 and spend $500 on their cables you can definitely expect to be have 50% less money.  A train traveling at 55mph going 300 miles to Detroit....
How much should I spend on a new DAC
cele, To address your question- $2-$3k will get a DAC that keeps up with your other gear.  There is a DAC du Jour  introduced every week so I am not going to suggest anything in particular. Many good choices. You have some very musical gear, ...
Under my tower speakers -- Isoacoustics Gaia, other options?
I use an anti-matter reactor system that keeps my speakers about 2"  above the floor surface at all times. I have found this to be  the best way to eliminate all unwanted vibration. Available through our friends at area 51.
