Anyone HEARD the qol 'signal completion' device?
What is SCS or what does SCS stand for?

another huge plus for the QOL is you can go out and get an integrated amp or preamp that does not have input select on it's remote since you can just hook all of your sources into the 4 inputs on the QOL. A lot of the good preamps and integrated a...
Best Integrated, period.
Anyone heard the new ModWright KWI 200 Integrated yet? For starters, looks nice and has plenty of power.

Kiza, did you ever make a choice? I have the Fritz Carbon 7 too so I was just curious if you found a good match for your system and your thought on the sound. thanks.

Upon further thought, Kiwi is right. I guess I try and get the best of both worlds with a tubbed pre and solid state amp. Of course there is a lot of variables in this hobby so nothing is really absolute. Hawk28, good know you are not a hawkeye fa...

Hawk28, yes, you shouldn't have to settle for just one or the other. You can have a warmer lush sound with still good extension, detail and clarity. If you have a dry cold harsh sound, something is wrong in your chain unless of course you like tha...
Elac Loudspeakers?
Bringing up an old thread. I have the Elac FS 247 SE (Sapphire Edition). These speakers are very nice looking. Check out some pictures. I have about 500 hours on mine. Like others have said, you have to invest in cables and compenents that are the...

I'm sure there are plenty of units on back order since they are sold out. So there should be more people sounding off in a month or two that are not dealers. Really, when you think about it, would it really be in a dealers best interest to promote...

Hawk28. You can reach your goal with tube rolling. I just put some Mullards in this week and yes it is a more lush sound.

Oh, so there is pro audio gear that does the same thing for less? Specific brand or company? Darn, wished I knew. The problem is there is not an thread on the forums that is making audiophiles aware of a speficic device that does what the QOL does...

Question for Douglas. Do you have a highly treated room? I'm just throwing this out there so it may mean nothing. Maybe people with already really really good rooms do not can not hear the necessity of having a unit like the QOL. My room is not th...

I would get the 05, but I can't stand not having input select on the remote. If Cary comes out with a new pre with a remote that has input select that can perform like the 05 then I would be in for that.
$2000-$3000 integrated with DAC ???
If you want to save up some more money there is the new ModWright Integrated. You can get it with a built in DAC. I have nor heard it but may be worth looking into.
Clearwave Symphonia 72R Speakers
thanks for informative post on this speaker. I was kind of curious about these and it looks like other than kits, Clearwave's finished products are fairly new so there is not a lot of info. They use good drivers and the speakers look pretty good too.

I hooked mine up today. Put it between a Cary preamp and Cary amp. Very impressed. I did not need a lot of time with it to tell if it was doing something positive or not. I used a sound meter to make sure I was playing the tracks at the roughly th...
