Hearing problems and speaker upgrade
A 'music' setting on a hearing aid may be some programmer's idea of what a 'music' setting should sound like with your gear in your room, but it may not be your's. The best ones to get are where you have some kind of EQ functionality from the remo...
Hearing problems and speaker upgrade
I've worn hearing aids for 20 years or so, and even though I may not hear my gear as well as some other people, I can still tell plenty of relative differences between components, including speakers. Just bought a very pricey pair of 'bookshelves'...
History behind Zappa's Eric Dolphy Memorial BBQ.
Safe to say that FZ was a fan of ED, and Frank did like amusing song titles.
Do all remastered vocals in vinyl albums have been 'corrected" with auto tune?
I can't say for sure, but considering how many albums have been remastered for vinyl, I'd find it hard to believe that every single one of them was subject to autotune.

What would you do?
In my own system, I've got tube line stage and phono preamps, and solid-state power amp; that works well for me....

High quality recordings any genre
@normb - I've got the Steely Dan 'Aja' UHQR, and yes, if it's an album you're a fan of and you want to hear it the best you will be able to outside of a reel-to-reel, and you don't mind paying $150 to do so, I and many others would say 'Yes, it's ...
Going from MM to MC
@lewm - agreed about MM cartridges; I've got a Clearaudio Charisma cart which is a $2000 MM and sounds perfect for my system; totally rocks....
Do Poor Quality Modern Pressings Provide Any Value?
Totally agree with you, @j-wall - I think I may have heard about GZ on one of the VMP podcasts for the Miles Davis set; there were 4 of them, and I think they discussed this on either the 2nd or 3rd one.
Do Poor Quality Modern Pressings Provide Any Value?
Hi @j-wall  - I wish I could find that article or video where the fellow from Vinyl Me Please addressed the concerns about GZ pressing, and how GZ did such an awesome job on the Miles set and some others from VMP. But he's the one that mentioned t...
