Are all streamers the same?
Mostly difference is in the controlling app. Many require Roon which means paid subscription. Aurender has its own app. Now as for the unit, they do have different hardware. It is up to you to decide if power supply in your computer makes a diffe...
so bass traps in corners do nothing, it seems we have been fooled. or are being fooled.
@deep_333 - so.... you are a judge of First Amendment here? Supreme Ruler of Truth? Yeah, people post relevant information. So yeah, move on.
Leave it Open or Close it Off: A Listening/ Living Room Dilemma
Yeah close it. I have large room that is open and it has issues
Anyone know fuse spec. of LHY OCK-1 Clock?
You can try check wattage (I doubt clock consumes more that 10W), divide by AC voltage to get typical current value. Pick fuse based on that.

TANNOY
Everyone? Don't think so... As long owner of D700 I can say you want to try and hear YOUR music with them. There is no such thing as 'musical' for everyone.

@mahler123 there is such thing as lossless compression. Absolutely everything is compressed on the Internet to save bandwidth and improve speed. Without any losses. Think ZIP archive.

Neither :-) Pass XP Phono on MOSFETs.
Revel 328Be owners...what do you think?
@james663 - classic rock is often recorded “poorly” to my years, lots of mids together. Yes comes to mind… I usually bring some Jethro Tull, Yes and Purple. I want to hear all instruments at reasonable volume as I never crank it to 11. Also, somet...

I’m confused. Please explain.
Everyone wants their system to sound the same way they heard the music when it affected them the most. They may claim some sort of 'natural' but really, it is just an excuse. What we all want is emotion. The sound of that perfect evening. The soun...

@thecarpathian mmm no, I don't want punk rock to sound like there is a power outage ;-)))
Impact of a DDC using SPDIF (not I2S)
@fuzztone - Denafrips (or their former dealer) youtube videos actually clearly state that DDC effect depends on the source. If source is already good, there may be no effect - like there is no reason to chain 5 DDCs, right?
Relaxed/Analog sounding DAC for under $10k (used or new)
Consider DACs that have MOSFET output. MOSFETs are solid state devices that sound most close to analog. This is common sentiment about Pass Labs gear, for example, although Pass does not make DACs.
