Battle of affordable pre-amps: Rotel vs Parasound
My general listening setup consists of a (Rotel) RC1090 pre, RB-1092 amp, RCD-1055, RLC-1040 & B&W N804 with a ASW800 sub. A nearby lightening strike disabled my RC-1090. Filed my damage request with APC (they made the RLC-1040)and thye to...
Where do you go after a Dynaudio C1 ?
Another I could recommend is the Joseph Audio Pulsar. A fine review just done is Stereophile

Sonus faber Guaneri Momento or Evolution. End of story.
An SACD question
Still buying - I got in the game late.
Does Dynaudio match Mcintosh MC275?
I would have to say YES. Go over to Audio Afficionado and ask - lots of good knowledge there and friendly members, too.
subs for Sonus Faber Cremona M floor standing
I have owned JL, Velodyne, Dynaudio, B&W and ML subs. My current sub I won't replace - REL Britainnia 1 (B1).
Defective REL G1 Subwoofers
I have owned Dynaudio, B&W, ML, SVS, JL and REL subs (B1 & B2). By far, for music, the REL is the king. No issues whatsoever with my RELs - not so much with the other (B&W no problems either).

Also check out Little Village - a group with Nick, John Hiatt, Jim Keltner and Ry Cooder. A nice combo of excellent musicians.Little Village

What do you use to align your Grado cartridge?

I don't feel that 1.5gms is too light. Deep down your grooves may be just dirty OR your LPs are worn. Are you using a RCM (record cleaning machine w/a vacuum)?
New Lyra Delos Cartridge
100 ohms will work fine with this cartridge - that is what I was using before 500 ohms was suggested to me. To be honest - I heard no real sonic improvement/difference between the two. The Delos is a magnificent cartridge for the money.

Thanks for that bit of importnat information. I, too, misinterpreted the Delos instructions.
Can my room support the Dynaudio C4s?
IMHO, for your room size I think the C4s are too much. The C1s, Sonus faber Auditor Ms or Joseph Audio Pulsars would be perfect for that room size. Use a REL sub base system (G2) for the lower octaves.
converting Rega to balanced output?
Wait until you progress to the P9....
McIntosh C220
I opted for the C2200 (recommended to me by Frank Gow) and then upgraded to the C2300. I chose the C2300 over the C220 because 1) meters in case I use non-metered amps 2) MC phono stage 3) able to change pre settings with the remote from my listen...
