Eversolo A6/A8
This product could be so good if they were a more mature company but digital sources need stable, vetted firmware to work well.  They are just not at that level. So frustrating to lose an audio output format like USB that is now ubiquitous...
Eversolo A6/A8
Its too bad.  I have been a harsh critic of off brand Chinese hardware and took a lot of heat for it but it's unfortunately how a lot of these companies operate  They probably are very reliable on the hardware side but many people underestimate h...
Eversolo A6/A8
My Dad was one of the first to buy the A6 when it was launched. It was great until the last update. It will no longer recognize his amp’s DAC since updating to the latest firmware. It went from playing fine, to updating the firmware to loss of USB...
Tidal removing all MQA
Agree with Brian about streaming in native format.     I have Tidal and Qobuz.   Tidal mostly for live content and they have some artists that only have a few tracks available on Qobuz.    I think the next time I sit down in front of my main syst...
10dB resonant peak at 40Hz
My room is about the same dimensions and my last sub. , a REL was used with a Velodyne SMS 1 .   It pulled down that nasty peak.   The sub that replaced it has built in DSP and it also does a good job of getting rid of the boom Before you do anyt...
Aurender A200 vs N200
While we are on the subject of streamers, I will say support, firmware, user interface are all of equal and high importance. A "great" streamer with terrible support and mediocre user interface is not really that great That’s why I like Aurender...
Aurender A200 vs N200
I have an Aurender N200.    It's been great.   Using it with the the Lab 12 DAC 1 Reference and it sounds great.    I also think that's a good plan to focus on streamer and using the McIntosh DAC for now.
Best and Worst customer service?
Aamir at Summit HiFi is one of the best in the biz.   His follow up and genuine concern for your satisfaction is rare these days.

Sonus Faber Electa Amator III vs. the Bowers and Wilkins 805 D4?
They are clear and sound big.  Excellent bass for a small enclose.  They are paired with a McIntosh MA 8950    You should try to listen to a pair , it’s an expensive proposition to buy either so if you can demo it’s worth the effort.
Sonus Faber Electa Amator III vs. the Bowers and Wilkins 805 D4?
I recently set up a pair of Electa Amator III for my Dad.   These speakers are special.   Beautiful sounding , build quality is off the chart.   Haven't heard the latest B&W 804 but I lean more toward the SF sound anyway.... I don't think you...
Martin Logan 13A's with Rel subs? A match?
REL is usually a safe bet,   the key is not setting the crossover too high.  I just set up a S/510 for my Dad and it is a great sub.    The T series are good too , especially for the money.    I have an older REL r 305 in my second system and it ...
Martin Logan 13A's with Rel subs? A match?
I have set several REL up with REL Speakon type connector.  Typically you will connect the Red lead to the Right Positive post , the Yellow to the Left Positive post .    If the Amp is a true balanced differential Do Not connect the Black lead to ...
Krell DUO 300XD and REL SUB wiring question.
Agree , the speaker level connection is the way to go.  I believe if the amps are fully balanced. Meaning true balanced differential , you do not connect the Black wire.  Connect the Red pigtail to Right's Pos Red and Yellow pigtail to Left Pos Re...
