What piece(s) of equipment would you most like to try?
I would like to try the Bluesound Vault 2
Recommend small, low power but low noise monoblocks
I have a pair of Quicksilver Mid Mono amps and they are great.....you can run EL34, 6l6, KT66, KT77, KT88 ......  40 watts, quietest amps I've ever owned.   They make two smaller versions for more efficient speakers.
Advice on a Used speaker, Budget $4500
So many great choices with that budget,  patience always pays off when buying used.  When I have a decent sum of money to spend on something I always look at it without cash on me, a pocket full of money can cloud my judgement .  If it was meant t...
Power switch for VTL MB125 power swich
I'm glad it was an off the shelf switch.......VTL is the worst company without a doubt that I have ever dealt with.  Bea is useless and Luke Manley  is the most rude and arrogant person I've ever spoken to.
New Power Amp from... Monoprice
Its no secret that ATI is the OEM for many well known amplifiers.   It looks a lot like the Outlaw 7200 on the inside....
VGA to HDMI adapter?
Monoprice should have what you need
Why are so many companies like harbeth making old speakers designs and charging thousends?
Look at the fit and finish of those speakers.....in a world of particle board and vinyl veneer those are not cheap to produce.
"High End" Bluetooth Receivers - Snake Oil?
I bought the Yamaha YBA-11 Bluetooth RX and it works great.  I bought it because it had a SPDIF output.  My M51 dac does a great job, Spotify and wav. files sound great from my tablet via Blutooth. $50 well spent.
DAC recommendation in the $1k range
The NAD M51 can be found used around $1k-$1100.....it is a great DAC for the money.
Bluetooth receivers
I just ordered a Yamaha YBA-11 Bluetooth receiver,  it's about as basic as you can get......single coax output , powered by a USB jack, push button pairing.  I'll be using it with my NAD M51 dac.  I'm just looking for a cost effective way to strea...
Anyone use Rel Longbow wireless system?
I use the Velodyne wireless system and it works great on my REL..... you would never know I wasn't using a conventional cable connection.
how do you select a center channel to match when the company only makes monitor speakers?
I would try to see if you can buy a single Harbeth.  Maybe a smaller model within the same line...... It's unlikely another brand will be voiced similarly. ....
Digital crossovers
I use the Velodyne SMS 1 for the low pass to my sub.  It's a digital crossover with a parametric EQ.   I run my mains full range with no high pass x-over employed.  I've never been a fan of EQ or tone controls but I have a nasty room mode at 40Hz ...
Has there been any inexpensive item that enhanced your system's sound?
I put my sub on a Gramma  isolation platform, best $50 ever spent.....
