| Klipsch speaker placement Cornwall IV will definitely have “more” bass than the LS, but it won’t have the quality of horn loaded bass. And the CW can’t compete with the midrange of the LS. LS + subs is the way to go. | |
| What Horn loaded speaker/ speaker system for $10k'ish and under I have LS IIs. Had khorns a few years ago. For me LaScalas + 2 subs is better than khorns. They just push all my buttons so I think they will be here a while. Hard to beat horn loaded bass and 104 db efficiency. | |

| When Will We Learn? I had the UPS store package and ship a pair of PBN Montana SP2 speakers. They arrived in pieces. They put an 80 lb speaker in a single box with nothing but popcorn packing material. Completely destroyed. Luckily they paid the claim. Never again. | |
| Would you upgrade preamp or power amp first ? I think it depends on which one is the weak link, and it could be either. If both are equally matched, then yes, I’d replace the preamp first. But it’s not the answer for every situation. | |
