Tube vs. Solid State Amplifiers
It depends on the type of  speaker involved there are speakers that do not work with tube amps at all but a good solid state amp will drive anything out there really well but a speaker that doe work with tubes will sound better on a good tube amp ...
can cassette decks overheat?
I have never heard of a cassette deck overheating but if it gets a lot of radiated heat from other equipment it might make the tape in the cassette suffer some damage due to the extreme conditions it is being exposed to.
klipsh scala speakers
Try to find your son a large vintage american speaker made before 1981 that will fit his style and volume requirement he will be much happier than any new speaker and you will really like them also.
WHAT IS THE MOST TOUCHY SONG THAT YOU HAVE EVER HEARD?
The most moving songs that i have heard are always a large scale classical composition by a famous orchestra with a famous composer and conductor, or a highly dynamic well recorded heavy metal album that is truly magic when reproduced well, which ...
Speaker size and soundstage
Baffle size and cubic inches make all the difference when it comes to dynamic full range sound in a large room and you will especially hear it when you get a true full size full range speaker that has a baffle three times the height and twice the ...
Shunyata Denali Damn!
Shunyata products are truly amazing i put one of their cords on my accuphase amplifier and wow the sound went up many levels instantly.
Help selecting a power cord.
I would get a kimber kable pk10 gold for your amp first the improvement will be amazing for the amount of money spent
why did my record player slow down, speed up, then go back to normal?
I wish i knew the table but if it was a direct drive maybe the drive servo had to reset itself.
Why did you choose the components and speakers that are in your system?
I wanted components and speakers that would play every kind and type of music and do it well especially the difficult music to play which is a challenge that took me about twenty years to achieve but was worth the time and effort.
My experience with bi-wiring
If it is recommended it is usually an improvement in some respects but when you go to better cables a lot of the time it will sound better than the biwire option.
You mean someone buys this stuff?
Yeah he is trying to sell and make creative things based on rega turntables and products but i can see the coffee table being a problem especially with anyone but you around.
Flipping record causing series of loud pops
It is an interaction between the phono stage and static electricity from removing the vinyl it is probably sensitive to this and some gear is more sensitive than others to static.
Considering an integrated
I doubt you will find a built in phono stage that good but some are quite good an accuphase integrated would be a good choice and they have built in discrete phono cards that are quite good by any standard.
Fraud and scam, how many of you are victims?
Sorry that happened to you i have heard some horror stories about this type of thing that is why i do not buy gear online at all.
Low power amps and speaker damage?
You know when you overdrive an amplifier the sound gets all kinds of nasty when you do tube amps can mask this to some extent but they still get nasty too just not as nasty as low powered solid state does normally most people are never going to us...
