Speaker relative efficiency/sensitivity when using a high pass filter 200 W “peak unclipped program”
Speaker relative efficiency/sensitivity when using a high pass filter Makes sense. I’m sure the numbers won’t be exact but it means I may be able to go from my 400 W amplifier down to a 100 W amplifier. The speaker manufacturer recommends 200.
Speaker relative efficiency/sensitivity when using a high pass filter I am using a second order high pass filter at 80 Hz yielding12dB down at 40Hz. 12dB is associated with a 16-fold power difference. This is my rationale for the inquiry.
New cartridge for Eminent Technology ET2 Appreciate advice. My dealer is going to do that but I thought I would also seek input using this knowledge base.

Isoacoustics' Gaia eliminated a 120Hz mode The manufacture recommends going bigger as well. This supports the notion that there is a range of effectiveness and that minor adjustments may yield a questionable return. Perhaps someone can tune it but I have neither the patience nor the butt t...
Isoacoustics' Gaia eliminated a 120Hz mode I do not understand the rationale for leveling nor the logo directionality. Speakers are typically heavier in the front so compressive forces are going to be different, which I would think affects function. Also, some speakers need to be canted fo...
Isoacoustics' Gaia eliminated a 120Hz mode I realized I was going to have to do some significant modification on the Nobsounds, including drilling out M6 size holes so I could screw them on to the DBA subwoofer cabinets. I was also going to heat shrink them for stability. I did attach one ...
Sota Eclipse packages for VPI tables. What I did with the TE package and my HW19. Base-mounted initially and just changed to a SAMA. The VPI alternatives are not competitive in the least.http://vpiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13319https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?convers...

Will line conditioner do anything for the other receptacle in a duplex? Ironic. A Dayton SA1000 powering a Romeyn DEBRA is what’s plugged into the other outlet.
Will line conditioner do anything for the other receptacle in a duplex? On a dedicated circuit with an EP-2050. Please explain your rationale.
Will line conditioner do anything for the other receptacle in a duplex? I reached out to Audioquest who makes my power conditioner and this was their reply:“Just having the Niagara 1200 connected to the wall outlet will help to improve any component plugged into the second outlet in the duplex.”Cool…
Will line conditioner do anything for the other receptacle in a duplex? I fully understand the benefits of and the principles behind the EP-2050 and a modular unit (e.g., Shunyata Venom Defender). My question is whether a power conditioner has the same impact on the other outlet of a duplex, i.e., that it also functi...
Clean AC power Life-saving tip: If you see someone get hit by lightning or is otherwise electrocuted the lethality is due to the heart going into ventricular fibrillation. Therefore, you should check for a pulse and if absent, do a precordial thump, which is a f... |
