Do bluetooth speakers for cars exist?
If your current head unit has an aux input, you can get a Bluetooth receiver.
PLEASE match Advice Pass Labs X350.5 (20k) to Hovland HP-100 (2500ohms) Miss-match ???
Yes, definitely a bad match. You have the answer in your post."The partnering power amplifier would best have an input impedance of at least 47k ohms if the bass is not to sound lean*."I had experience with a bad matching pre/power. In addition to...
When Money Is No Object -- You Buy Bose?
I agree, theย 901's on stands are a striking look, however, IMHO, I think they look horrible in that room. I'm thinking some of the B&O speakers would look great in that room.
Missing shipment
"BTW ,insurance covers for damage, not for a delivery that was shown being delivered!"Check the USPS website. It states that the insurance is to protect against loss or damage. Also, with at least $200 insurance, a signature is required for delive...
Missing shipment
If an item is insured for at least $200 with USPS, then it will automatically require a signature."We did not discuss insurance. I assumed that he would do so since $860 is a significant sum."Even if the other person was a good friend, I would nev...
Is it possible to connect analogue radio to oppo
"Is it possible to connect analogue radio to oppo"For what purpose?
HH Scott 299B with Harbeth/low-efficiency speakers
"I say go for it , your Scott 299B puts out 50 watts"Sorry, that was the amps total rated wattage. Restored, depending on the output tube used, output will be 20-25 wpc, same as the 222C. Great little amp but definitely needs a more efficient spea...
Impedance Question?
The amps input impedance should be 10 times the output impedance of the preamp. This is considered the minimum and since the preamps output impedance varies with frequency, it's better for the amp input impedance to be 15 or 20 times that of the p...
Subwoofer works on blu-ray but not on TV?
What is your TV, satellite, cable, or OTA? What are the connections to the TV and to the MX-121?
What's the weak link in my system?
+2 for DaveConcentrate on the room and setup before replacing any equipment. I know it's difficult to use spikes on hardwood floors, but hopefully you at least have something on the bottom of the speaker cabinet, rather than sitting directly on th...
Best components to optimize Martin Logan 50XT and Edge in walls
"I think ethos is on the right track as I was thinking Denon/Marantz with pre-outs and a good power amp immediately."Why would you buy an AVR receiver when you are not going to use the power amp section? Use that same budget on an A/V preamp/proce...
Best components to optimize Martin Logan 50XT and Edge in walls
If that Denon is the AVR-910W, then replace it first. Those speakers need much better power. Even though it's rated at 95w/ch, that's with only 2 channels. With 5 channels, it's likely about 60w/ch, and with very little current. Also, it has no pr...
Question for cable/wire naysayers.....
Totally agree nonoise ย  ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
Best components to optimize Martin Logan 50XT and Edge in walls
Sorry, no recommendation for amp or sub, but it is a "no brainier" that you should use a Martin Logan in walls for the rear surround.
Question for cable/wire naysayers.....
Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion and sometimes when I hear people talking about measurements with test equipment, I wonder if the ear may actually be superior to that test equipment. The ear is more sensitive than some people realiz...
