pretty much same amp and 11band EQ ( analog as you astutely point out ) as the highly regarded model 7 less the push pull aluminum cone....so the guts and engineering are all there for sure....as team swarm may mention two subs will to some degree...

sell the collection and invest in K horns and a proper room, then work excellent tubes into the equation......my left and right brain opinions merged to provide you this single personality consensus view...

so keep them....i have a pair of Cornwalls w Crites tweeters and better crossovers, some damping on the mid and Hf horn throats....they are great garage rockers....

and yes when Michael visited recently to listen to my Treo CT with his Line Magnetic amp, first thing I did was measure his ear height....

IMO great designers include measurement of ear height in the setup instructions....I use a Leica Distoreference Vandersteen setup for the proper tilt based on distance to tweeter and ear height..i setup quite a few other systems besides Vanderstee...
