first what a great great awesome thread.......ya I left flash way behind long ago...Joe B is unlistenable.....IMO.....I do mobile recording for fun with a few world class players...when they congeal into music for the sake of the whole...magic hap...

@uberwaltz which is my mobile recording rack...which I will just summarize as a collection of ribbon and other vintage mics, fern and United audio preamps, Mogami cables, Ayre A to D, Wadia A to D, Revox B77 mkiii high speed half track, some word ...

not as simple as that...and I own a pair of ESL63.... but yes you got a steal especially refurbishment for $650.... it typically starts at $2 kbut never the less, welcome to magic midrange....ultimate slam, spl, low bass better left to other toys....

one issue is bass is directional above 150 HZ so subs that have much output above 150 HZ , especially those behind you ( in the corners, typically four corners..mess up spatial phase informationso you can trade away that for smoother bass...for th...

@wolf_garcia .....I hurl at spelling......and typing with ipad...IMO imaging is way more than speakers disappear, it is 3 D depection of the soundfield and the acoustical space ( what there might be of it ) by the system...massed chorale in church...

and as an Infinity dealer, I was very aware of the plus and minus effects of the large wood baffles as one moved up the line, louder...yesbetter? not so much.....
