Is the NuPrime CDT 9 Pro a Best Kept Secret?
Oops I meant '8'. well, I found out that the remote does not allow for direct track selection, which seems unconscionable these days. I emailed them about itI was intrigued by the SRC upsampling of both coax and toslinkThe other issue: I sent 2 em...

“Oppomod” linear power supply
I did it to my 105 to excellent effect, but now only use it to spin SACDs DVD-As...Maybe 5 months ago I bought a Audio Alchemy DAC/PRE just for the pre, but eventually tried the internal dac and was blown away by how much better it is than the 105s
Stillpoints - snake oil?
I have owned Stillpoins with risers, Mapleshade , Herbies, ceramic cones, ... but until I tried Machina Dynamica springs (different sizes for weight) that I began to hear what vibration control in the 3 dimensions does
3 best 10k speakers now imho

Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age?
No (SIGH!),While I could DIY (install) a buffer (~ $300), I do not have a proper soldering iron, neither do I trust my very basic skills.  It deserves a good home. Now for sale on AA
