Hemi Sync Recordings

I was shopping for some new CDs (gasp) on Amazon and I purchased this CD called Baroque Garden, which contains several pieces performed by the Archangelos Chamber Ensemble. I didn’t really read much about it, but I like this type of music, so OK. I got it yesterday and it turns out to be some type of New Age  recording called Metamusic with a tone embedded that is supposed to synchronize both hemispheres of the brain and it says not to listen while driving or operating heavy machinery, apparently because you’ll get too relaxed. So I listened and there is some very soft hum recorded in the center. I don’t think a non-audiophile would pick it out, but you all would definitely hear it because it sounds like a slight hum that you would identify as something wrong with the amp or similar. The music is actually quite nice and I just thought I would pass it along. Turns out the thing was produced by the Monroe Institute, a place that preaches mental health and wellness. So now I have both hemispheres of my brain in sync and all is well. I did pee in my pants, but that’s nothing unusual.  A small price to pay for synchronized hemispheres I guess.

Elements of truth in much of this. Choose with care. In most cases, my guess is that the music hasn't changed. Your perception has.
