That's funny you mention Andy as I am talking with him currently about the speaker. Thank you for the recommendation though. If there is anyone else that you know of that would let me pick their brain please let me know. I truly appreciate the suggestions.
I have a speaker made by Federal Telegraph co
Hello I have a speaker made by the Federal Telegraph Co. with what I believe to be an 18" Jensen field coil woofer and tweeter. I am having a hard time finding out any info on this. I know it's extremely rare. I would love to get a ballpark figure on its worth. I have seen the 18" speaker sold for upwards of $6,000 dollars on ebay. That's without the tweeter or the cabinet. I guess what I need is an expert on these types of speakers. I have photos of the speaker but I have no idea how to upload them to this site sorry. Any information will be much appreciated.

Mike- you might try to call Andy Bouwman, who is better known for selling vintage tubes. He's knowledgeable of pre-war speakers and might be able to give you some insight. FWIW, Andy is pretty old school in terms of communications- best way to reach him is by phone rather than email. Let us know what you find. Cool stuff. Bill Hart |
Cool - Go to Virtual Systems page, use the "Create System" to upload photos. https://systems.audiogon.com/ |
