Moving cross country

I understand your concern about the heat, but at a practical level it's just not an issue.  As long as you pack them tight enough so that they cannot move you'll be alright.  Remember, for decades LPs were shipped all over the world via truck, train and ship and heat damage wasn't an issue.

Not just for the vinyl, but for all your other worldly possessions, you should physically be there when the truck(s) are loaded.

Thank you for the feedback. And by the way I was born in Texas and lived there for 45 years. Retired now so moving back home. Plus I miss Chicken Fried Steak great BBQ and real Mexican food. The double packing sounds good. Once agin thanks.

There's nothing to worry about. Pack your records in double-layered cardboard boxes. Mark them all THIS END UP FRAGILE GLASS. Pack them towards the middle, or anywhere a few feet in from the outside. 

This is because the whole trailer is one thermal mass. The outside may get warm but no way the inside temp rises more than a few degrees from ambient at loading time. Its pretty much a physical impossibility. Even on the outside though they will be okay just as long as they're properly boxed up.

certain items you actually take with you personally.  If you are concerned, then either take them yourself in car or refrigerated truck or in a truck/van and only drive in cooler weather.  Just logistics.

You could also place them in storage until the temperatures come down maybe fall or winter and ship them then.
