From what it seems, many (and myself included) have used tube socket savers to employ tubes with larger sockets into the Freya+. I no longer own one, but when I did this was the route I took. Yes, socket savers add another set of connections and make the tubes stick out in an unslightly manner, but it allowed more flexibility in the tube selection and resulted in better sound.

Iam reading the Pavane 6sn7 will not fit the hole of the Freya? How about the Freya plus will they fit the hole? Iam thinking of buying match pair.Thanks
