Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Sounds like an awesome way to spend the day. Trower and Montrose are both absolute legends and Davey Pattison's voice is so underrated. Too Rolling Stoned is a classic and that groove never gets old. I haven't listened to Gamma in a while but now you're making me want to dig back into those albums. Lately I've been on a bit of a UFO and early Scorpions kick so hearing that Pattison worked with Schenker makes me want to check out those collaborations too. Thanks for the inspiration and great picks.

Nightwish - Highest Hopes - The Best of Nightwish.

They do a cool version of Walking in the Air..

Nemo is another really cool song.

It's rock, but different.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.  It’s the 50th anniversary.  50 years of musical bliss.

The Smile boxset. Smile not being completed and released in 1967 as originally planned is one of the great tragedies in the history of Pop music. To read about the album as it was being recorded, pick up a copy of the book Outlaw Blues by Paul Williams. It contains the material Williams wrote about the album's recording and published in Crawdaddy Magazine at the time.

Jeff Beck - Live in The Cage 1980.  Audience recording of a show I saw live.

Arcadi Volodos-Piano Transcriptions(Sony SK 62691 CD 1997) A brilliant segue to Sunday night vinyl.

Walk This Road -  new Doobie Bothers album.  Great to hear the old gang back together.

Full Sail by Loggins and Messina from 1972! Real music, not synthesized like you hear so much of today. I heard it in 1972 but not on high end gear. Especially like the track “Medley: You Need A Man…” I like the use of horns ie sax. Check it out. I’m streaming Qobuz but am looking for a quality vinyl.

Bob Marley - 3 Little Birds.  Watching the sunset on the lake on a beautiful night

Ally Venable | Real Gone

I have tickets to see Ally on June 20th at the Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati.

Black Beauty - Tomas.

Compare to MBL spkr system the system I respect the most. Source (best sound in the world) is the master tape and United Home Audio tape decks. Alex/Wavetouch audio

1st LPs in a long time but yeah, today we got back on the deck... Leon Bridges Good Thing, Talk Talk The Color of Spring, Stereophonics Performance and Cocktails & capped the session with The Golden Palominos Visions of Excess.

Shirley Horn-The Main Ingredient(CD 1996) Prior to Diana Krall Ms. Horn had the best selling "pure" jazz female vocal recording of the 1990's. Sunday night vinyl is off to a majestic start.

Ambrosia - Ambrosia.  Debut album helped by Alan Parsons genius.  Nice nice very nice.
