How do you bi-amp with tubes and solid state

I second Kal's recomendation. I am biamping a MG 3.5 with ARC VT100 MKII on the treble/midrange and SS monoblocks (Kenwood L07M) on the bass panels. I am using a Marchand XM126s electronic tube xover. You need the active xover to adjust the xover slopes as well as the levels.

There is a pair of Levinson active crossovers for sale; this was one of the best. But, they are old so may require service. Other excellent units are the Pass active crossover.

Would it be better just to find something that could control the gain? I imagine the crossover networks in my Aerials to be of higher quality than the electronic ones? Does it make that big of a difference splitting the crossover points to feeds the amps?

There will a certin loss of quality when intoducing the electronic crossover, does your speakers have seprate crossover boards? That would be best. Ive owned the ksa300s and can tell you for biamping lows you can spend less and have just as good lows with normal impediances.You may just want ot sell the krell and go Gaint tube amp like the VTL 450's monos. I can tell you that the VTL 300's will give that 300s a run for its money on the lows Ive owned both but the krell is much cleaner, the new VTL 450's would really be cool. Hell i just brought home a 22,000 pair of Von Schweikerts no ampification as of yet...

VTL Huh....Never heard one before! How do they compare to Audio Research and BAT? The prices on them second hand look reasonable and they seem to have high power! I really want to try tubes on my high end! The lows on my system are outstanding!
