For the summer with rock music I prefer a martini. Plymouth gin, Dolan vermouth, orange bitters, and a lemon twist. For classical music it is generally red wine, which is currently the 2007 Cade cabernet of Howell Mountain.
A fine sipping Bourbon served neat. Lights down low of course. Blanton's or Booker's goes well with the warm glow of the Pass Labs meter light on a cold winter night.
