Correct turn on, turn off sequence????

O.K. I have been into audio for about 10 years now and still don't have a definitive answer to this question. In what order should I power up/down. I always get a pop in my speaker when I turn off my amps. I have adcom 565 monos, 565 pre, rega cdp, all plugged into a power conditioner... If any of that matters. Thanks in advance for your help.

I might suggest that, if you listen to your stereo often, do NOT shut off your amps. You actually incurr more "wear and tear" by frequent warmup/cool down cycles than by letting it run 24/7. The cost of electricity is also very low as the amps only use a few watts in quiescent mode.
Startup:

Preamp, source(s), amplifier(s)

Shutdown:

Amplifier(s), everything else.

Works for me.

Amps go on last and off first. Frankly, I would never turn any of your equipment off.
You always turn on working from the source to the amplifiers and turn off working from the amplifiers to the source. The idea is to avoid creating an amplified pop which could damage the speakers.
