I appreciate heavy rock, given at least a trace of avant garde wit(e.g. Soundgarden, Urge Overkill, Queens of the Stone Age, Husker Du, Alice in Chains-- maybe even Anthrax in a certain mood.) But Motorhead will be remembered as a mere head-banging asterisk IMHO.

Regardless of whether or not you appreciated his music, I always enjoyed his partying antics particularly with women because as he would freely admit- Lemmy was one of the ugliest front men in rock and roll history. Yet, he always seemed to have beautiful women hanging on each arm because his emphasis was on the music and enjoying life.
