If you have "any interest" in 50-60’s music/entertainment values... this show ROCKS!!! I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience. Just plain old great showmanship!!! Loved It!!!

John McLaughlin, Jimmy Herring and their bands--separately and then together (playing tunes from the Mahavishnu Orchestra songbook) at the Paramount Theater in Austin, 11/30/17.  Supposedly it was Mclaughlin's farewell tour.  He's still at the top of his game and it was great to hear him play those great tunes from the 70's again (as well as his newer material).  I hadn't heard Mr. Herring before but he is a fine guitarist with a good band behind him.  All in all, a good night out.

Saw Tierney Sutton last night at Side Door Jazz in CT. She and the band were great. It is a nice venue. They will be playing in NYC this week.

I went to the York PA Symphony for Respighi the Pines of Rome.Wonderful,excellent performance of that piece.Also went to hear Harrisburg Symphony play Saint Saens organ Symphony #3,great performance.There is nothing like hearing live violins,like 25 of them on stage.
