Amp for LS50

I recentl got a pair of LS50’s and will eventually be getting a nice amp and preamp for them.  I’m curious as to what amps pair best with the power hungry Kef LS50’s.  I’m wondering if ClassD audio Sds470c would be a good choice being that its 300watts at 8 and 600 at 4 ohms.

Im open to all suggestions.  I’d like to keep the budget for the amp at or below $1000 and maybe $500 for a preamp...

Perhaps a used Nova 300?

Another vote for the Hegel 160 mentioned above.  I’ve been very happy with this combo.  Quality amp!
Help Help!!

I’m about to pull the trigger on something and I need some final help!

I’ve narrowed it down to the following:
-NuPrime IDA 16 ($1250)
-Rogue Audio Sphinx 2 ($1200)
-McCormack DNA1 Deluxe ($1000+$300-$400 for what preamp??)
-Hegel H160 ($1500, more than I want to spend)
-Outlaw RR2160 ($799!  Allows me to put in nice new carpet in my listening room)

I’m leaning towards the NuPrime because of the reviews, price, the dac is a plus, aesthetics are nice but am concerned about the synergy with the Kef LS50’s.  I see that the NuPrime doesn’t double down in power from 8 to 4 ohms, other than that, it looks great!  I have read all the reviews on the NuPrime so I can’t find many other reviews with it being paired with LS50’s.

@b_limo

I've had the NuPrime IDA-16 for about two years and can wholeheartedly recommend it. As Vade Foster of TAS found out it was an excellent match for the LS50.

The Outlaw RR2160 is an intriguing choice. It has received very good reviews and the bass management is a big plus. With the added bonus that you could get new carpet for the listening from.

Those two amps  would be my top choices from you list. I wish you good luck with your decision.

Cheers,

Scott
