Med. 2 Way + great acoustics are better than a super speaker or a sub

I got nothing more to say. :)

Eric, you ALWAYS have something to say ! lol   Any speakers in a room, that is acoustically well planned out to accommodate those particular speakers, with the proper listening seat, will always sound better than a megabuck system just thrown together, without any concern for the room acoustics. If this is what your are implying. I have followed your speaker kit build, and I appreciate you think highly of them, but for my ears, I will stay loyal my tweaked and updated Klipsch Lascalas any day of the week, and my room caters to them very nicely. I have a pair of powered subs that are wonderful from 50 hz down, to complete the package. YMMV. Enjoy ! MrD.
Sorry, what I meant to say is, given a choice, a medium sized 2-way in a great sounding room will outperform all other options in a poor room.

That doesn't mean I don't envy those who can have it all. A mega speaker, with great acoustics, or a 2-way with great acoustics and a sub. :)

 Are you referring to Lowther Medallion 2 speakers?

@noble100  Never heard them.

Only in your imagination. :(

@douglas_schroeder  Please respond with personal experience directly related so we can enjoy your point of view more fully.

Eric, you ALWAYS have something to say !

@mrdecibel  This past month I've left at least 3 or 4 threads here alone. Entirely.

Erik must be contentedly enjoying his system today 😀And feeling smug.

@jtcf
Hah, but nope, it was more of a head slapping moment when I altered my room acoustics and repeated the "aha!" moment when it all sounds really good again.

Best,

E
