I had both the Lores and the Pendragons also and wish that I still had the Lores in my bedroom! If my memory is correct, the drivers in the two are the same with the significant differences being in the tweeter and the speaker size. With the smaller size, The bass on the Lore is much easier to tame than that of the 'Dragon (my main room is not treated and has a few bass nodes). And, yes the soundstage is smaller with the Lores, but other than they are very similar speakers. As for the tweeter, I preferred the single tweeter in the Lore to the three in the 'Dragon. If I were to do it again, I do believe the Lores paired with dual servo subs would be superior to the Dragons at a similar price point.
What amplifiers are you driving your Omens and Lores with? I'm using a B&K st140 with my new Omen Defs and love the sound.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on why you prefer the single tweeter.

In my room, the low end on the Dragons is AMAZING! It's just that they are so big, that they block part of our 106" screen. If not for that, I'd be keeping them.

Thanks for the directing me to that post.
Hi Ecruz.

I'm not sure how/why the tweeter in the Lore is preferable to my ears....but it was. And it's been so long that it wouldn't be fair to really even write about the differences I heard as my memory is horrible! Simply put the Lore had a bit more sparkle on the top in and it wasn't "bright" in any way at all.
Ecruz,

I am the guy that sold you the Pendragons. To me, it all comes down to priorities. As good as the Pendragons sound, I would let the video take a back seat. But that's just me since I would never mix the two in the first place. Any time you try to put the two together, one or the other must be compromised.

For example. In order to get the best movie "imaging" on your 106" screen, you need to place the speakers where they ordinarily wouldn't sound as good for two channel music. Or vice versa. You make your choice and live with it. But we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking we can have the best of both worlds. And this isn't even taking into consideration the compromises that multi channel front end gear presents.

I hope you figure it out and find something that works for you.
