REVIEW: Pearl Jam, Live At Easy Street

I will cut to the chase. In the words of the late Harry Pearson, “plainly a piece of crap”. This is one of the most lifeless and undynamic LP I have ever heard.  The record label on side one was raised at the center due to not being glued down properly and as a result, side 2 will not sit anyway near flat on the platter, even with a 2 pound record weight!  There are only 7 songs on the album totaling 16 minutes or so per side and why bother pressing it on 180 gram vinyl (other than a reason to jack up the price)?

Yup, this album is one stinkeroo and one I won’t be listening to again.  I am bummed as I am a BIG Pearl Jam fan.  This was a total waste of $24.99.  A real disappointment.

@tablejockey ,

Regarding Alice in Chains... their first record.."Facelift" was released in 1990. "Dirt" in 1992. What do you mean by early......as all of Alice in Chains records were released well after digital was in vogue.

I have the compilation lps..."SAP & Jar of Flies" in one jacket from 1994? Sounds great! All of my Soundgarden sounds great! I just don’t know what you’re referring to when you imply these titles are hard to find that sound good?

To be honest, IMO, PJ is one band I'd never think of a live lp sounding good.
Slaw-

My preference is for period press of anything I buy. That period of Rock  doesn't last long in my neighborhood stores. Unobtanioum.

I have the 20th  anniversary 2 LP "Ten" purchased against my better judgement.
A decent digital setup is equally satisfying. The music makes up for the uninspiring sonics.

Played side 1 of both and its never seen action since.

Thank You for the review. Big PJ fan here. I have quite a few bootlegs on CD from the 90's. Some have studio quality sound, while, others do not.

It is all about the performance to my ears.

Happy Listening!

I can’t. MD will not take Something I already opened and played just because I do not like it.

Sure they will,I've sent several albums back to Music Direct because I didn't like them.
Big PJ fan as well......" Its all about the performance "....+1 jafant.....I have several  live recordings that are not recorded, produced or mixed well, but the performances are incredible ( a few examples are Ozzy Osborne, ZZ top and Van Halen ).......a live recording that is awesome, in both sq, and performance, is the fairly new , Steve Winwood, Greatest Hits Live....recommended, if you are a fan....
