Jazz for aficionados

Jazz for aficionados

I'm going to review records in my collection, and you'll be able to decide if they're worthy of your collection. These records are what I consider "must haves" for any jazz aficionado, and would be found in their collections. I wont review any record that's not on CD, nor will I review any record if the CD is markedly inferior. Fortunately, I only found 1 case where the CD was markedly inferior to the record.

Our first album is "Moanin" by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers. We have Lee Morgan , trumpet; Benney Golson, tenor sax; Bobby Timmons, piano; Jymie merrit, bass; Art Blakey, drums.

The title tune "Moanin" is by Bobby Timmons, it conveys the emotion of the title like no other tune I've ever heard, even better than any words could ever convey. This music pictures a person whose down to his last nickel, and all he can do is "moan".

"Along Came Betty" is a tune by Benny Golson, it reminds me of a Betty I once knew. She was gorgeous with a jazzy personality, and she moved smooth and easy, just like this tune. Somebody find me a time machine! Maybe you knew a Betty.

While the rest of the music is just fine, those are my favorite tunes. Why don't you share your, "must have" jazz albums with us.

Enjoy the music.

***** but about equal and free access to the articles of consumption*****

"What does that mean? And why does it take a communist system to achieve it.

I’ll be as short as possible. And I have no desire to continue discussing this theme. This should be sufficient as the answer:

Definition of Communism. “Communism (from Latin communis, "common, universal") is a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money, and the state.”

In short: classless, moneyless, stateless.

Fact: It never existed.

Important: Communism is not about people living like in a tribe, going up and down all dressed up the same, smiling the same, sharing the same food, living in the same tents, holding each other with hands, singing age of aquarius and stuff like that. It is about the most modern society you can think of, highly advanced society in modern technologies – it’s the society so advanced and productive (only in societies like this, this can be achievable) that setting up the prices for the goods and paying for them would make no sense. What’s is the point in a price battle or in buying stuff if everyone has all? Example: I am sure that few shoes factories in China for instance (being so damn productive), would already now satisfy the need for all kinds of shoes here in my entire country. They can produce so many shoes that we could easily enjoy in all kinds of them. But nobody will give them to us for free. In fact, if the factory has the production surplus, it will rather destroy the goods than place it on the market with low price or God forbid, give it away for free. Reason is simple, no profit out of that. There is your answer. It is in the earning of the profit and preserving the private interest.

A profit earner obviously does not want that equality in consumption. Thanks to profit, he will be rich as hell, you stay poor and work in the stinky factory, ‘cause somebody has to work for it. You will be brainwashed with all kinds of bullshits, just to be kept away from using your head by thinking of the freedom and better society. And the only freedom that you will have - will be to choose who will exploit and use you. But you will be surely exploited and used. (In a more cheerful way of saying, you will be surely fuc***.).

In the former Yugoslavia, we had the beginnings of this system of equality. We had ideas that where foundations for a system like that. Like nowhere in the world. Of course, that had to be stopped. And it stopped. In a bloody war. We were too greedy and too stupid to preserve what we had and too weak to prevent what was about to happen.

You see, my dear, these ideas of equality are far dangerous than any terrorism. You may kill, rob, destroy, torture other human being, but that’s no biggie in comparison to the existence of the ideas of equality in a modern slave mind.

Now back to turkey theme.
