MHDT Orchid or Lampizator Amber 3?

I’m considering one of these. Please share your thoughts, especially if you’ve heard them. I will be streaming 70% and CD’s 30%

Jazz, R&B and classical in that order are my listening habits.

My room is 20x30 and very nice acoustics.

Current system:
Dali Epicon 8, Luxman 509X, PS Audio NuWave DSD, Cambridge CXC, Shunyata interconnects & Nordost speaker cable

Great thread and educating.  A tube DAC newbie wonders, is the tube in the Orchid easily rollable or does it require soldering (skills)?

No soldering required to change the tube in the Orchid.

I just ordered an Amber 3 demo from our friendly TN Lampizator dealer (shipped to CO).  I'll get it in mid-January for a shootout against my Audio Mirror Tubadour III SE.  Very curious to see how it goes.  Either the Amber ships back to TN or someone else gets a good deal on a beautiful AM DAC with upgraded tubes...

Cal3713, I too would be very interested in your results, as I'm currently looking at both of those DACs.
