Speakers or room

I have a very lively room. Tile floors, large window and open area. If you clap there is a loud echo. Furniture is limited. I set up Kef LS50w and the sound is recessed not forward. The room is 26 x13 and even up close it doesn't sound good. Is it the room? What should I do ? Wife acceptance factor comes into play.

Talk to GIK Acoustics. They have some very pretty panels, including custom art panels.

Always start with the room, IMHO. A good room is more speaker forgiving.

room/speaker positioning with  good speakers are better than great speakers,

less than ideal positioning and  bad room setup.

of course they dont sound good. What do you expect? They are cheap small monitors for general purpose listening not high quality sound.

if you want better sound you will need a new room I'm afraid.
