Which media player for lossless music

foobar2000 open source is all the $$ you should spend for PC sound.

I use foobar2000 also.  It may not be as intuitive as other options out there, but it does the job and has a fairly simple and easy to use interface and there are many free plug-ins available.  The price is right.

I have heard of Foobar2000 but did give it much attention. I have tried JRiver and I think it is overwhelming with features just like erik said. 

I've used both Jriver and Foobar and prefer JRiver for ease of setup for  audio. JRiver does have significantly more features that you'll likely never use or need but you can easily ignore them. JRiver has 30 day free trial period so it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
