I think is time for new speakers..

Yes, I think I am going to take the plunge and get new speakers even though my DIY sounded great.  As for my DIY speakers, I im going to give it to my brother now the search for speakers is in the works. Right now my budget is below 800 for either floorstanders or bookshelf speakers. 
My system consist of:B&K ST2140Rotel RC-970BXSony 730ESVelodyne CT-100

Some good recommendations above but you should wait to give your speakers away. For $800 even used dollars your DIY speakers may indeed sound better,  worth a listen at least.

What about another set of DIY, you know what you built, that you're happy with now. What is it you want to change, or is it, just time for "A Change"?

OR

You can buy flat packs, with drivers and XOs. Probably wouldn't get an automotive finish, unless you can do the paint... GR, Madison, few others.
