Can AC wires on rectifier to be reversed and still work?
Hi All,
Sorry for the noob question but I am trying to install a bridge rectifier on my Quad 405 power amp. Does the two fused wires coming off the transformer for the AC to the rectifier have a preference as to which terminal they go onto or it doesn't matter because it is alternating current. I know that there is a positive and negative terminal but the two AC terminals are a mystery. This is my first time installing a rectifier so I want to be sure I don't hook this up wrong. Thanks in advance for any response.

Kind of OT, but the last page (29) of the 405 repair manual in the following link shows how to wire the PT for various power ratings (110/120/130 et cetera). I find the 130V interesting, considering how USA AC voltage has been creeping up over the years. https://www.dadaelectronics.eu/uploads/downloads/02_Quad-Service-Manuals/Quad-405-and-405-2-Service-...
