I cannot say enough about the KAB Concorde STY40 combo

I purchased one to add to my cartridge collection. This cartridge was spot on with all alignment, etc. I just had to adjust the arm level and tracking force. Most reviews say this combo is a 2m Black in a Concorde configuration at $300 cheaper. For my system (1200GR, ELAC PPA2 phono pre), this cartridge is the best all-rounder since I listen to all kinds of music. I highly suggest if you are looking for a cartridge for your 1200 series turntable. I know there are some who do not recommend the audiophile (non DJ) Concordes. I, however, as quite impressed.

I have an older Concorde that’s black, I got it when I purchased my SL-1210MKII, which was used to DJ.

Black one is Concorde PRO, it was also available in Silver.
Both are old, original styli are conical (or elliptical).
Using a better stylus from the hi-fi OM series is significant upgrade, but still far away from magic that other inexpensive vintage hi-fi MM cartridges can do. You should really try some (on conventional headshell). Stanton 881s or Pickering XSV/3000 killing it (at very low cost). Ortofon M20 FL Super is another killer.

KAB is now using a Reloop (Concorde pro made by Ortofon for Reloop) cartridge with the SYS40/30 stylus.
