You probably don't want to hear this but I would sell everything and start from scratch. What's Best Audio Forum puts Audiogon to shame. It is a great place to research products and is heavily influenced by Europeans. Poland has some some great Speaker makers, UK - DAC's and Music Servers, Greece - amplifiers just to name a few. It sounds like this is a once in a lifetime move. The gear in Europe is outstanding. It could be fun building your system. The only thing I might keep would be your turntable due to all of the albums you have. Good Luck! You may want to post this same thread on WBF.
Any audiophiles in Israel or Europe here?
In a few months, at age 60, I will be embarking on an amazing adventure. I will be moving overseas to Israel, G-d willing, and arriving soon thereafter will be 1 or 2 stereo systems, 1100+ LPs, 400+ cassettes, and 600+ CDs. Between now and then, I’ll probably acquire a Bluesound Node 2i also and wanted to see if I was able to network with other audiophiles in the Holy Land.
The voltage there is 230V/50 Hz and most of the gear that I currently have is dual voltage that looks like if you change a fuse and the power cord, it will convert to 220-240 and down to 50 Hz.
Currently, I have the following gear:
LIVING ROOM SYSTEM:
Acurus DIA100 integrated amp
Ariston RD80 SEL/Jelco arm/Grado ZC+ cartridge TT
Schiit Mani phono stage
Cambridge Audio Azur 840C CD player
Nakamichi DR2 cassette deck
NAD 4300 tuner
Monitor Audio R700MD w/24” heavy steel stands
BEDROOM:
Custom Fleawatt 3116 amp
Custom Fleawatt tube buffered passive pre
Omega Super 3XRS speakers
220V Meridian 504 tuner
Oppo DV 970 cd/dvd player
I would consider trading the Fleawatts and/or Acurus for a Node 2i or British shoe box sized integrated w/phono; otherwise, this is the system that will go with me. I may also sell off the bedroom system before I leave too. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks for your kind comments :)
