BEST SUB FOR HT:MUSIC 50-50 with CM9/CMC2/CM5

There is no definitive "best" of anything. There are way too many variables involved. The "best" you can hope for is to find something that works well in your system. You can then say it's the "best" for you until you find something you think is better !!!!

Rather than "best" how about "suggestions" that may compliment the above system?

That room will probably be very, very tough for deep bass; smallish and square. Whichever sub you choose, you might want to think about digital room EQ (included with the Velodyne DD series).
